Katherine Heigl is open about growing up within "a the white bubble." She also explains how this experience has affected the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. She is the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in a recent interview that in regards to skin color -- it wasn't a factor for her what she wore when she was younger, but once she talked with her older sister whom she adopted from South Korea, she realized how different society treated the two of both. "I wanted to know Meg what she thought about being different when she went out with our parents and those who went out on her own. She said: 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed the whole thing!' Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I caused me to feel." Heigl admitted she became angry and felt that it was crucial to put her anger on helping the adopted children she has. Heigl is with Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. and then Adalaide who was 8 years older and was Black in 2012.
