Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress is known for playing the lead on a number of TV programs as well as her strong performances in movies. She is popular on both Canadian and American TV. Emily's love for acting first began at the age of 12 when she was visiting the sister of Katie who was shooting one of Katie's movies. Emily began attending classes in acting, and then auditioning following realizing she had a passion for acting. She started out with a couple of ads, and was soon selected for Are You Are You Afraid of The Dark A Canadian horror show for kids. The only part she was in was a silent one. The actress got her first big break at the age of 15, when she got a role as a regular on Glory Days, a WB series Glory Days. Emily's appearance on Glory Days, a show on WB that was cancelled after nine episodes, attracted the attention and casting of Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily was a professional dancer, and was also a photographer. Teen listed her as the top young actress. Maxim listed her at 51 on their Hot 100 of 2014.
